Devon Hornby, LMT, MTI

Devon is renowned for his ability to quickly and effectively
treat pain and discomfort. He has worked with world class athletes as well
as people from all walks of life. With manual therapy he works with
postural alignment, injury rehabilitation and chronic pain.
Devon is a licensed massage therapist and a highly
regarded healing arts practitioner. He has been practicing the healing arts
for twenty years. His practice of manual therapy is founded in many years
of experience and training. He studied tuina
(Chinese manual therapy) at the Rising Sun School of Somatic Arts,
acupuncture and herbs at the Institute
of Traditional Chinese Medicine
and Tao Shiatsu under the lineage founder, Ryokyu Endo sensei. He brings a
profound understanding of anatomy and physiology, having taught for over five
years, together with a practical sense of the body to craft effective and
efficient treatments for a wide range of complaints and conditions.
Devon is an avid recreational runner. A former
champion orienteerer Devon
has a deep understanding of importance of optimal performance in all aspects
of athletics. Devon has also been
practicing the martial arts for thirty years. He has devoted the last
fifteen years to the practice and study of tai chi and qigong. He has studied under numerous internal gongfu
and qigong teachers and currently studies with and teaches in the style of Sifu
Fong Ha. Devon is
dedicated to promoting a lifestyle that is in accord with the universal
principles of integrity, inner strength and personal transformation.
Devon has studied with a number of great teachers and
masters of qigong, meditation, healing, and martial arts. He synthesizes
the essence of what he has learned in a practical and straightforward
manner. Devon’s practice of manual therapy
and his classes reflect his dedication to make the profound heritage of
Asian medicine accessible and approachable for anyone who wishes to improve
their health and reach towards their full potential.

Dixie Shive Hornby, L.Ac., FABORM
(Fellow of the American Board of
Oriental Reproductive Medicine)

Dixie
Hornby is a
licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zen Shiatsu. She
effectively combines acupuncture, herbs and shiatsu to treat a wide range
of complaints. An excellent practitioner with a broad range of
skills--including the treatment of allergies, metabolic disorders and
emotional stress--Dixie is most passionate
about assisting patients through any type of transition in their lives, be
it smoking cessation, weight loss, trauma recovery, or perimenopause.
Dixie is a fertility specialist. She is a fellow of the American
Board of Reproductive Oriental Medicine. She has a wealth of knowledge and
a tremendous amount of experience treating reproductive and gynecological
issues, including infertility, PCOS, endometriosis, menarche related
conditions, perimenopause, menopause and more. Dixie has worked with countless patients to achieve
fertility naturally as well as through reproductive technologies such as
IVF and IUI.
Dixie is a Central Texas native with deep roots
in the Austin
area.
After graduating from The University of Texas’
Plan II Honors Program, Dixie taught ESL
for Teach For America, and then completed 1L studies at the exceptionally
competitive University of Texas School of Law. Not having found spiritual
fulfillment in law, she took a leave of absence to satisfy her curiosity
about Traditional Chinese Medicine and never looked back.
Dixie has a no-nonsense, straightforward approach to
the healing arts.
She strives to help
people incorporate the principles of Chinese health into their lives simply
and effectively.
